The Great Kindness Challenge

Student Council helped our school celebrate National School Counseling Week by sponsoring the Great Kindness Challenge. During our week of sharing kindness, Student Council covered the school in Positive Post it Notes with positive saying like, "You Rock!" They also set up Kindness Stations for students to complete a link for our Kindness Chain. Students wrote kind things they had done for others. We also challenged students in grades K-1 to complete 10 Random Acts of Kindness and Grades 2-5 to complete 25 Random Acts of Kindness. Students who completed our challenge wrote their name on a paper heart for our Kindness Wall of Fame. Finally, Student Council promoted a Service Project to collect stuffed animals for the Lexington Police Department. Police Officers will keep the stuffed animals in their car to give to children who are in an emergency.
